Statement on Passage of Prop 64 From Santa Barbara Cannabis Business Council

Goleta, Calif. – Nov. 9 – The Cannabis Business Council of Santa Barbara County released the

following statement on the passage of Proposition 64, the Adult Use of Marijuana Act, from interim Chair Paul Kowalski:

“This is an important day for Santa Barbara County, where local voters overwhelmingly supported Proposition 64 by 61.2 percent. Agriculture is at the heart of Santa Barbara’s culture and history, and as home to one of the most vibrant cannabis industries anywhere, we now have the chance to enact local laws that create good jobs and comply with the law. We look forward to working with local leaders to implement AUMA and MCRSA in a fair way that serves the will of the voters, supports farmers and local businesses, and promotes the wellbeing of the community at large.”
